I Am One

I plant my feet in the earth,
& I feel them take root.

my wild heart comes to life
to reveal the wild-er-ness of my being.

veins become vines
green, lush, so alive.

fingertips disguised in flowers
vibrant and eternal.

I feel the mountain of my bones
My breath roams the peaks and valleys.

eagles soar between the vertebrae of my spine
nesting & feeding young

My breath takes form of the waves upon a sea
constant eb&flow

Give & take

I become one
The Sun. The sky. The Moon.

They live within me
They are me
And I am them.

I take root
And I recognize
I am alive.
